Room to Expand is a yearly, recurring teaching format at the Berlin University of the Arts. It creates conditions for artistic production and brings together students and teachers from different faculties and institutes, enabling students to develop their projects while supporting one another’s ideas and artistic processes.

Within the context of Room to Expand, students are encouraged to critically examine established notions of art and to experiment with seemingly fixed parameters such as authorship, exhibition space, production conditions, and audiences. These parameters are treated as negotiable and are rethought within the framework of each individual art project.

Opening January 31, 5 – 10 pm

Premiere In the presence of the filmmakers:
Date & Time: Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 6:00 PM
